Title:
COLONY STIMULATING FACTOR AND INTERLEUKIN 6-PRODUCING CELL STRAIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03164167
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:Colony stimulating factor (CSF for sort) derived from cancerous cell of human thyroid gland and interleukin 6 (IL-6 for short) producing cell strain NIM-1 (FERM P-1, 1103). Shape: epithelical cell-like. Multiplication: well multiplying in RPMI-1640 medium containing 100 units of 100% bovine fetal serum/ml penicillin and 100μg/ml streptomycin. Suboulture: possible without limitation. Tumor formation in nude mouse: tumor is formed in high frequency when transplanted to skin of nude mouse. Freeze preservation: readily preservable in liquid nitrogen for a long period of time. Substance producing ability: capable of continuously producing CSF and IL-6.

USE: Useful for producing CSF and IL-6. Capable of producing CSF and IL 6 in a uniform state and of being subjected to permanent culture.

PREPARATION: Tumor tissue is collected from a patient of cancer of thyroid gland accompanying excessive neutrophilia and transplanted to a nude mouse to establish the title cell strain.
