Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color composition for image recording excellent in various performances including heat-resistant rigidity which means the sharpness of hue, brightness, transparency or the like does not change by heat history during kneading or the like.
SOLUTION: In the color composition for an image recording containing a pigment and a resin, the following azo lake pigment composition is used as the pigment. The pigment composition is obtained in the process of making a lake compound of calcium after or during coupling a diazonium salt of p- toluidine-m-sulfonic acid and β-oxynaphthoeic acid to synthesize C.I.Pigment Red 57:1, and by substituting a benzene-based amine having a polar group such as 4-amino-benzaminde or the like for a part of the p-toluidine-m-sulfonic acid.
