Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily correct the effect of the change of the oscillation wavelength of a semiconductor laser on the formation of a light spot in the auxiliary scanning direction by changing the light path length between a linear image forming optical system and a deflection reflecting face. CONSTITUTION:The light flux from a light source device 1 is fed to a roof mirror 8, and it is reflected by the mirror 8 to form a linear image on the deflection reflecting face 4 of a rotary polygon mirror 3. The deflected light flux by the polygon mirror 3 optically scans a scanned face 7 with an ftheta lens. A control means is constituted of an amplifier 12, an A/D converter 13, a ROM 14, a D/A converter 15 and a piezoelectric element control circuit 16. Outputs of temperature sensors 11, 11' are printed on the ROM 14 as the temperature information. The output of the ROM 14 is converted into an analog signal and applied to the circuit 16. The circuit 16 drives a piezoelectric element 10 in response to the applied information. When the mirror 8 is displaced and the light path length is changed, the effect of the change of the oscillation wavelength of a semiconductor laser on the image formation position of a light spot in the auxiliary scanning direction can be effectively corrected.
