Title:
COLOR-DEVELOPING BIOSENSOR USING NANO-SCALE DENDRIMER AS BASE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002363288
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a compound useful as a chemical and/or biological molecular sensor exhibiting a sensing function with high density, capable of being applicable to various materials to be analyzed, and capable of rapidly and economically detecting the materials.

This compound useful as the chemical and/or biological molecular sensor is produced by reacting a dendritic polymer with diacetylene, wherein diacetylene functional groups are thereafter polymerized intermolecularly to form segments having alternating conjugated double and triple bonds. Further, sensing groups capable of binding to the material to be analyzed are bonded to acetylene monomer units in the molecular sensor so that an observable and measurable color change is brought about when the material binds to the sensing groups.
