To provide a peel parting type color diffusion transfer photographic film unit excellent in non-adhesiveness of an image receiving element even in a web state during production and even after print formation and having good photographic image quality and a pleasant feel in handling.

The color diffusion transfer photographic film unit comprises (a) an image receiving element obtained by forming a neutralizing layer, an image receiving layer and a peelable layer on a support, (b) a photosensitive element obtained by forming a silver halide emulsion layer and a layer containing a dye image forming compound or a layer comprising a silver halide emulsion and the dye image forming compound on a light shielding support and (c) a body comprising an alkaline processing composition disposed in such a way that it is spread between the image receiving element and the photosensitive element, the image receiving element contains an alkali-insoluble matting agent having a spherical fine particle shape and the matting agent has a coefficient of variation of ≤0.40 and a particle diameter equal to 100-200% of the thickness from the bottom face of a layer containing the matting agent (in the case where the matting agent is contained in two or more layers, from the bottom face of the lowest layer) to the surface of the image receiving element.
