Abstract:
PURPOSE:To decide the tint in an object in which complicated colors have been combined by taking an absolute value or a ratio of tint elements of a red component, a green component and a blue component of each picture element and evaluating the tint at every element. CONSTITUTION:A spherical or lump-like object to be processed whose tints are different, for instance, a fruit 13 such as an apple, etc. is moved on a belt conveyor 11 in a state that it has been placed on a pallet 14. When the pallet 14 enters into an image pickup range of an image pickup means 12, a detector 16 detects it, and the image pickup means 12 brings the fruit 13 to image pickup. In order to make an illuminating condition of a color image pickup constant, a lighting equipment 15 is installed in the vicinity of the image pickup means 12. A processor 17 divides an image which has been brought to image pickup to every picture element, takes an absolute value or a ratio of elements of tints of a red component, a green component and a blue component of each picture element and evaluates the tint at every picture element, and derives a value of a dispersion of the whole image from its evaluation value.
