Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color filter contg. a phthalocyanine compd. having excellent solubility with resins by incorporating the phthalocyanine compd. in which the substitutable positions of the benzene nuclei of phthalocyanine skeleton are partly substd. for phenoxy groups having substituents in ortho positions.
SOLUTION: This color filter contains the phthalocyanine compd. in which 1 to 8 pieces among 16 pieces of the substitutable positions of the benzene nuclei of the phthalocyanine skeleton is or are substd. for phenoxy group having the substituents in one or both of the ortho positions. The substituents referred to here denote all nonmetal atom groups excluding hydrogen atoms. The nonmetal atom groups denote halogen atoms, alkyl groups, etc. The total of the atom radii of the atoms excluding the hydrogen atoms among the atoms included in the substituents in the ortho positions of the phenoxy groups is preferably ≥3.0 angstrom.
