To obtain color filters for a reflection type liquid crystal display device of a high aperture ratio having light shielding parts which are great in optical density (OD value) and are low in the reflectivity of film surfaces.
A polymer film provided with slid phase resist layers of a specified thickness containing coloring agents is laminated on a glass substrate 1, by which the resist layers are transferred and the colored layers 2 of plural colors are successively formed in the prescribed region on the glass substrate 1. In addition, laminated parts 22 formed by laminating ≥2 layers of part of the adjacent colored layers 2 are formed in the positions oppositing to the thin-film transistors(TFTs) of a TFT array substrate. As a result, the thicknesses of the individual colored layers 2 are sufficiently assured in the laminated parts 22 and the laminated parts 22 having the OD value of ≥3.5 and the reflectivity of the film surfaces of ≤5% are obtained. Common electrodes 3 are disposed in the layer lower than the colored layer of the uppermost layer of the colored layers 2, by which the color filters hardly giving rise to the shorting between the TFT array substrates is obtained.
