To provide a color filter which is excellent in red color reproducibility even when using a white LED and can be produced even by a ink jet system.
In a color filter in which colored layers of plural colors including red are formed on a substrate, an average transmittance in a range of 430 to 460 nm, of the red-colored layer is 0.4% or lower.
