Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a color filter capable of applying on a liquid crystal display device and improving the display quality thereby and its manufacturing method.
CONSTITUTION: The principle parts of the color filter are constituted of a glass substrate 1, a transparent colored layer 2 provided on a picture element position on the glass substrate 1 separately from every each color and in a pattern from, fine particles 4 for spacer having light absorbability which are arranged via an adhesive layer 3 provided selectively on a space position between each picture element. Since the fine particles 4 for spacer are not present on the picture element position, the display device is not affected by scattering light caused by the fine particles 4, and a high display quality can be maintained and also, since the fine particles 4 for spacer are provided with light absorbability, the diffused external light such as scattering light generating at the position among the picture elements is prevented to improve the contrast of the display image.
