This liquid crystal display is provided with a color filter having 5,000 or more contrasts, having an angle of 10-35 formed by a side face of a partitioning wall 4 constituting a black matrix and a bottom face thereof, and having 0.15 or less relative standard deviation of the angle . The partitioning wall side face of the black matrix is thermally deformed to have the angle by baking, after forming the black matrix constituted of the partitioning wall having 1.0-8.0 m length of an under-cut by development.
