To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter capable of improving sensitivity and preventing defects of pixels in the method for manufacturing the color filter including an exposure step for performing exposure of a photosensitive resin composition by maskless exposure, and to provide the color filter having less defects of pixels and an image display device provided with the color filter.
The method for manufacturing the color filter includes a step of performing exposure for forming a two-dimensional image simultaneously using a plurality of beams by relatively scanning a coating film of the photosensitive resin composition including at least a binder polymer, a monomer or oligomer, and a photopolymerization initiator or a photopolymerization initiator system while modulating the beams based on image data. As the photosensitive resin composition, a photosensitive resin composition having viscosity of 103-106 Pa s at 100°C before exposure is used.
