Abstract:

To provide a color filter having square pixels each formed into a rectangle with a corner having small roundness on a filter plane as well as into a rectangular cross-sectional form with a corner having small roundness.

The color filter includes: a support having a plurality of light-receiving elements; and colored pixels disposed on a surface of the support where the light-receiving elements are formed. The colored pixels contain pigments and a compound expressed by general formula (I) and has a transmittance of 0.1% or more and 10.0% or less to light at a wavelength of 365 nm, preferably 0.1% or more and 5.0% or less, and a pattern size of 0.5 μm or more and 1.2 μm or less. In formula (I), R1to R2each represent H, a 1C-20C alkyl or 6C-20C aryl group, however, both are not simultaneously H, and R1and R2may form a cyclic amino group with N; R3represents an electron withdrawing group; and R4represents an electron withdrawing group.
