PURPOSE: To produce the color filter high in quality and low in cost in the completely dry treatment high in yield and capable of a cost down by forming a filter pattern on a base body by the coloring material layer which is melt- transferred by using a melt type heat transfer recording material.
CONSTITUTION: A color filter base body 3 is mounted on the transfer device base body 5 having a vacuum sucking hole 4, and the surface of the coloring material layer of the light heat transform type heat mode recording material 2 having larger dimention in length and breadth than this base body 3 is laid over the base body 3, and by evacuating the recording material part buldged out from around the base body 3 through the vacuum sucking hole 4, the base body 3 and the recording material are adhered closely. For example, in the case of the pattern corresponding to red filter, by condensing a laser beam on the surface of the coloring material layer of the recording material having a red coloring material layer, the coloring material layer is formed on the base body 3 by a melt transfer. In the case of this melt transfer, it is necessary to adhere closely the recording material 2 and the color filter base body 3, it is preferable that evacuation is executed effectively and the use of the recording material easy to adhere.
