Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter and a solid-state image pick-up device which are possessed of both an excellent spectral sensitivity characteristic of a dye and an excellent weather resistance of a pigment.
SOLUTION: An ontip color filter is formed by a color resist using a composition composed by the intercalation dye in clay as a coloring material. As the clay for intercalation, hydrotalcites or smectites being lamellar clay minerals are preferably used. In the ontip color filter, a pigmentation dye is used as the coloring material which is possessed of both the excellent spectral sensitivity characteristic of the dye and the excellent weather resistance of the pigment.
