To fabricate a color filter substrate with high pigment concentration, which has not been conventionally materialized, while maintaining a good lamination coating property, a good developing property, and a good pattern forming property, and further to provide a liquid crystal display device high in display quality.
In the color filter substrate for liquid crystal display device on which a plurality of colored layers of three primary colors consisting of red, green and blue are arranged on a color filter substrate subjected to a black matrix patterning, a pixel of at least one color has a photosensitive resin layer laminated on a thermosetting resin layer, wherein a polymer/monomer ratio, by weight, of the thermosetting resin is 60/40 to 80/20, and the photosensitive resin is a transparent negative type material.
