To provide a color image editor device with which the working processing of image data of any special edition can be executed while simultaneously displaying the image data of all editions on the screen of display.

The image data for print of respective editions consisting of the color image data for print of a processing object are respectively stored in respective areas 41a-41d inside an image memory 41. A cutting/expanding or reducing part 47 reads the image data for print of edition as a working object out of any correspondent area inside the image memory and copies these data into a memory 45 for processing. Then, the cutting/expanding or reducing part 47 performs the working of these image data for print on this memory 45 for processing. Then, the worked image data for print are over-written on the correspondent area inside the image memory 41. During this operation, the color images for print stored in the image memory 41 are always read out by an emphasizing processing part 42 and displayed on the display after RGB conversion at a converting part 43 and layout at a layout part 44.
