The image discrimination apparatus is configured to include: an image region division section 103 for dividing image data into a plurality of regions; an in-region color component average calculation section 104 for calculating an average of color components in the plurality of image regions divided by the image region division section 103; an in-region color component discrimination section 105 for discriminating a color of a concerned image region among the plurality of image regions on the basis of a value from the in-region color component average calculation section 104; and an original image discrimination section 110 for discriminating kinds of the original image on the basis of a plurality of results of the in-region color component discrimination section 105.
