To provide a color image forming apparatus wherein the developing conditions of individual colors are made as similar as possible by more effectively improving the characteristics of color toners.
As for yellow, magenta, cyan and black toners 13Y, 13M, 13C and 13BK to be separately supplied to respective color developing units, the quantities of synchronous additive agents 15Y", 15M", 15C" and 15BK" sticking to mother particles 14Y, 14M, 14C and 14BK are set equal to one another or nearly equal to one another between the individual colors, that is, the inclinations of the synchronous lines (synchronization distribution diagrams) in a toner analysis with a particle analyzer are set equal to one another or nearly equal to one another. Thus the electrification characteristics of the color toners are made uniform or nearly uniform, and the developing conditions are made uniform or nearly uniform.
