Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the positional deviation of plural images formed on the surface of an image forming body.
SOLUTION: In this color image forming method is which detection marks are formed by respective developing devices 4-1 to 4-4 in order to obtain information on the rotating speed of the image forming body 1, the relative positions of the detection marks are detected by a detector 11, and then each color image forming timing is adjusted based on information on the relative positions so as to form a real image on the surface of the image forming body 1; the image forming body 1 is made in non-contact with an intermediate transfer medium 6 only when the detection mark passes a transfer position (contact position where the image forming body 1 comes into contact with the intermediate transfer medium 6).
