A color image pickup and appearance feature analysis system includes a color image pickup system and/or an appearance feature analysis system, wherein the color image pickup system has one light source among a conical light source, a truncated cone light source and a cylinder truncated cone light source, and an object is placed in the light source, and the appearance feature analysis system includes: a process including a shape computing process and a statistical analysis process; or a computing process for at least two out of the shape, the color and the size; and a process including the statistical analysis process or a visualizing process for an appearance feature distance.
