Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize reproduction of black characters/lines with high quality by realizing pixcel deviation correction without MTF deterioration with high precision.
CONSTITUTION: A pixcel deviation correction means 11 that obtains an edge degree based on a luminance or a brightness signal in a color picture signal, obtains a saturation degree based on a color difference or a saturation signal, calculates a black/color edge degree based on the edge degree or the saturation degree and converts the color difference or the saturation signal depending on the black/color edge degree is provided between a 1st color conversion means 3 and a 2nd color conversion means 5. The picture element deviation correction means 11 is provided with an edge detection means which detects an edge based on a luminance or a brightness signal in a color picture signal to calculate the edge degree, a saturation detection means calculating the saturation based on a color difference or the saturation signal, a black/color edge degree calculation means calculating a black/color edge degree based on the edge degree and the saturation degree, and a saturation conversion means converting the color difference or the saturation signal depending on the black/color edge.
