This color ink comprises at least one kind of color ink which is used for image forming together with a black ink containing only a good solvent for a water-insoluble coloring material, wherein the color ink contains a good solvent and a poor solvent in amounts satisfying so that a ratio of A to B is in a range of 10:5 to 10:30, when a total amount (mass %) of the good solvent for the water-insoluble coloring material used in the color ink is defined as A, and a total amount (mass %) of the poor solvent is defined as B.
