PURPOSE: To reduce overlap of color materials of individual colors by inputting signals so that overlap of sampling positions of respective color information of R, G, and B is little, and outputting signals in accordance with sampling positions at a recording time.
CONSTITUTION: R, G, and B signals in an input color picture 15 are inputted to an input part 10 through a lens 16 so that overlap of sampling positions is little. These R, G, and B input signals are converted to C, M, and Y signals or C, M, Y, and BK signals. These C, M, Y, and BK signals are recorded. Thus, signals are inputted so that overlap of sampling positions of respective color information or R, G, and B is little, and they are recorded in accordance with sampling positions at the recording time; and therefore, overlap of color materials of individual colors is reduced, and pictures of high quality superior in resolution are obtained.
