PURPOSE: To transmit a color photograph using a black-and-white photograph transmitting device by integrating a rotatable member holding plural color resolving filters, a rotation driving mechanism rotating it, and an angle control mechanism controlling the still angle of the rotatable member at every color resolving filter.

CONSTITUTION: A rotatable member 3 holding plural color resolving filters 4 in order to be occupied selectively to the front side of an objective lens 40 provided at a reading optical base 45 of the black-and-white photograph transmitting device, and rotation driving mechanisms 8 and 15 rotating the rotatable member 3 at a prescribed angle to a specific direction at every one time of movement are provided. And an angle control mechanism 9 controlling the still angle of the rotatable member 3 at the angle fixed beforehand at every color resolving filter 4 is integrated to them, and made to be attachable to the reading optical base 45. And by repeating a reading operationt at three times, the picture information of three primary colors and black-and-white is successively read out and transmitted similarly to a color photograph transmitting device. Thus, it is possible to obtain a color picture reading adapter device enabling to use the black-and-white photograph transmitting device for a color photograph transmission.
