A color picture tube is supported by a V-shaped supporting member 32 which is composed of a stud pin 31 provided on a panel 21, an engaging section 34 formed as an opening to fit the stud pin, a fixing section 35 fixed to the shadow mask, and a joint section 36 slantly joint to these engaging and fixing sections. In this case, multiple curling sections 39 engaged in the stud pin are provided around the opening of the engaging section for the supporting member. These multiple curling sections are joint by a joint section 40 detached to the stud pin.
