Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the color printer whose saturation is not decreased due to overlapping between color ink and black ink and in which no color fluctuation takes place even when a screen angle is changed.
CONSTITUTION: A black ink quantity decision means 2 decides a K signal based on Y, M, C signals inputted from a color data quantity input means 1. A color data quantity decision means 4 receives the Y, M, C signals and the K signal to decide Y', M', C' data by an under color elimination processing. A back ink quantity correction means 5 receives the Y', M', C' signals and the K signal to correct a black ink quantity according to equation of K'=K/(α.p+1), where p is a screen overlap probability and a is a blur ratio. A screen generating means 6 generates a screen for each color and a print means 7 implements 4-color print.
