Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress the reduction of printing speed and to reduce the capacity of a dot pattern data memory by preparing a memory for storing dot patterns in common to respective colors.
CONSTITUTION: A storage device 6 has a printing bit data area 7 and a density reference table area 8. A dot pattern in each density is stored in the area 7 as a reference dot pattern in common to respective primary colors. A printing bit data generating part 5 reads out the density data of each primary color from the area 8 correspondingly to a color to be printed in response to a read request from a processor 4, reads out the dot pattern of each primary color corresponding to the density data from the area 7 and transfers the read data to the processor 4. The transferred dot pattern data are inputted to a printing bit data developing area 10 in a storage device 9. The processor 4 drives a printing part 12 through a printing control part 11 correspondingly to the prepared printing dot pattern data.
