Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color separating circuit, capable of suppressing the generation of any false color at generation of a chrominance signal by using interpolated image signals, corresponding to various color filters and a chrominance signal processor equipped with the color separating circuit.
SOLUTION: An edge, appearing in a vertical direction, is detected by an edge-detecting filter 7, and when the image signal of the edge part is processed, outputs from small-tap color separating filters 8 and 10 are selected by a selecting circuit 12, and when the image signal of part other than the edge part is processed, outputs from large tap color separating filters 9 and 11 are selected by a selecting circuit 12. Also, a value to be multiplied by a multiplying circuit 18 is calculated from a luminance signal, applied from an adding circuit 13 by a rate-calculating circuit 16, and color separation signals added by an adding circuit 17 are multiplied by the value which is calculated by the rate calculating circuit 16 in the multiplying circuit 18, and one of the two color separation signals is interpolated in the vertical direction.
