Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make further stable a playback signal level, by obtaining a rectangular wave correction signal through the use of horizontal synchronizing signal separated from a playback video signal and inputting this to a hold circuit of an automatic color amplitude control circuit.

CONSTITUTION: A playback video signal from an input terminal 11 is inputted to a synchronizing separation circuit 12 to separate the horizontal synchronizing signal. This separated signal is inputted to an FF circuit 14 via an equalizing pulse elimination circuit 13. The rectangular wave output of fH/2 (where fH is the frequency of a horizontal synchronizing signal) obtained from the FF circuit 14 is inputted to hold circuits 16, 17 at a burst signal detection circuit of an automatic color amplitude control circuit 15. A burst signal picked up from a playback video signal is inputted to the circuit 15 through an input terminal 18. The output of the hold circuits 16, 17 is switched and inputted to a chroma signal gain control circuit 19 as a gain control signal of the chroma signal every one vertical period.
