Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the color video display device which prevents color filters that a video display panel has from deteriorating or fading owing to light passed through the filters and has a long life.
CONSTITUTION: On the light-projection side surface of the front glass panel 1 of the liquid crystal panel which modulates the quantity of transmitted light according to video information, 1st color filters R1, G1, and B1 are formed of inorganic materials; and 2nd color filters R2, G2, and B2 which are narrower in the wavelength range of transmitted light than the 1st color filters are formed partially on the light-projection side surfaces of the 1st color filters, and black matrix parts are formed at the remaining parts.
