Abstract:
To provide a colored brilliant pigment to be compounded into coatings, resin compositions, inks, cosmetics or the like, which exhibits a high transparent feeling and a high brilliant feeling and gives a color having high saturation and being clear.
The colored brilliant pigment comprises a scaly glass and, coated on the surface thereof, a silica-based film containing an inorganic pigment. Preferably, a coating layer is formed on the surface of the scaly glass and further the silica-based film is coated thereon. The brilliant pigment is compounded into coatings, resin compositions, inks, cosmetics or the like.
