This colored bulb has a glass bulb 1; a filament 2; inert gas; an umber or yellowish first color filter composed of the glass bulb 1 itself, or supported by the glass bulb 1; and a reddish brownish second color filter 3 supported by the glass bulb 1. During lighting, light emitted from the filament 2 is transmitted through the first color filter and the second color filter 3 to generate red light. The second color filter 3 can comprise mesh-like Si-O covalent combination and an inorganic pigment composed of iron oxide, for example, and can be supported by one or both of the inner face and the outer face of the glass bulb 1.
