To provide a colored and coated optical fiber that enhances workability in the terminal processing of coated optical fibers, and also to provide a colored and coated optical fiber ribbon, an optical fiber cable and an optical fiber drop cable.
The colored and coated optical fiber is one in which a colored layer is provided to the outer circumference of a coated optical fiber, wherein the colored layer is composed of a combination of two or more colors. As a result, numerous optical fibers can be colored in an identifiable manner within the number of humanly distinguishable colors, thereby respectively enhancing discriminability, when a plurality of coated optical fibers are housed, and moreover, enabling workability to be improved in the terminal processing of coated optical fibers.
