PURPOSE: To prevent the irregular diffusion of transferred dots and to exactly reproduce an image by specifying the coloring agent content in a colored photosensitive layer.
CONSTITUTION: The content of the coloring agent in the image forming material constituted by forming the colored photosensitive layer contg. a photosensitive compsn., binder and coloring agent on a base is specified to 20-30wt.%. The colored image is formed on this image forming material by subjecting the material to imagewise exposing and development processing; thereafter, only the substantially colored image part is transferred onto a material to be transferred. The transfer performance of the colored image is degraded if the content of the coloring agent is larger than the above-mentioned range. The dots are irregularly diffused on the material to be transferred when the content is smaller than the above-mentioned range. Pigments or dyes of yellows, magenta, cyan and black having desired color tones re usable for the coloring agent.
