PURPOSE: To obtain a colored interlayer for laminated glass with a superior self- bonding property by adding a plasticizer and a colorant to a thermoplastic copolymer resin consisting of vinyl chloride, glycidyl methacrylate and one or more kinds of monomers such as ethylenic hydrocarbons.
CONSTITUTION: Vinyl chloride, glycidyl metharylate and one or more kinds of monomers such as ethylenic hydrocarbons, e.g., ethylene, and fatty acid vinyls, e.g., vinyl acetate, are preferably suspension polymerized to prepare a thermoplastic copolymer. The copolymer is preferably adjusted to ≥500 average degree of polymn., and 1W10wt% glycidyl methacrylate content. To the copolymer are then added a plasticizer such as DOP and a colorant such as phthalocyanine green, and a film is manufactured by a known working method such as a calender roll method. This resin film is used as an interlayer. It is superposed between glass and glass, melted by heating, and press bonded to obtain colored laminated glass.
