Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the color tone of a mica titanium-based pigment without using an organic substance.
SOLUTION: This colored mica titanium pigment comprises flaky mica substrates and a composite oxide coated on the mica substrates. Metals constituting the composite oxide comprise 60-95 wt.% of titanium, 1-24 wt.% of iron and 1-24 wt.% of nickel. The coated product is obtained by coating the pigment on a substrate.
