To provide a colored pencil lead suitable as a colored wooden pencil lead, a colored mechanical pencil lead, etc., which yields a sufficient color development and density of a drawn line and a powdery, smooth writing, possesses a mechanical strength (bending strength, tensile strength, impact strength, etc.), sufficient for practical use and can be easily erased with rubber erasers, and its manufacturing process.

The colored pencil lead is obtained by kneading a blend composition containing at least a polysiloxane having a structural unit of formula (I) (wherein R1 and R2 are identical to or different from each other and are each an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a hydroxyl group or a siloxane group), a body material and a colorant, molding the composition to form a molded product and heat curing the molded product by electromagnetic radiation.
