PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color polyethylene fiber having a deep color, excellent color fastness to friction, high strength, and suppressed unevenness in strength and fineness.SOLUTION: The color polyethylene fiber has an Lvalue in a CIE-Labcolor system of 80 or under, has color fastness to friction of grade 3 or higher in both a dry state and a wet state, and contains a surfactant, which has an HLB (Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance) value of 7.0 or higher and 14.0 or under, of 0.4 mass% or higher and 5.0 mass% or under.SELECTED DRAWING: None
