The invention provides a coloring composition for textile printing, which contains a dye represented by the general formula (X) and water. [In the general formula (X), X21 to X24 each independently represent an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom. R21 to R24 represent an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heteroaryl group. M represents a hydrogen atom, a metal element, a metal oxide, a metal hydroxide or a metallic halide. P1 to P4 each independently represent an aromatic ring, and the aromatic ring may have a specific substituent. n21 to n24 each independently represent 0 to 4, and sum up to at least 1. The structure of the general formula (X) comprises at least two ionic hydrophilic groups.]
