Abstract:
To color a plastic optical member in a desired color with high optical permeability and without causing unevenness in color and to overcome problems related to coloring processing such as wastewater disposal and energy loss.
In a coloring method for coloring a plastic optical member through irradiation with ionizing radiations such as gamma rays and electron beams, a dose of the radiation employed for irradiating the plastic optical member is selected from radiation doses precedently determined in accordance with colors to be obtained, and a color of the plastic optical member attained a prescribed period of time after the irradiation is employed as a color to be obtained.
