Abstract:
To provide a column hole cover which has an improved function for prevention of entry of a noise into a cabin.SOLUTION: A column hole cover 6 which is located between a housing 4, which accommodates a pinion shaft 32 which is rotated according to steering operations of a rack shaft 31 and a steering wheel 10, and a dash panel 7 which partitions the interior and the exterior of a cabin, and which seals an insertion port 70 provided in the dash panel 7. This column hole cover comprises a body 61 comprising an elastic body, and a metal plate 60 provided with an open hole 600 for penetration of the pinion shaft 32 therethrough. The body 61 integrally has: a cylindrical part 62 of which one end part elastically contacts the dash panel 7 and the other end part is fitted in the housing 4; an annular seal portion 63 which elastically contacts an outer peripheral surface of the pinion shaft 32; and a connection part 64 which connects the cylindrical part 62 and the seal portion 63 to each other. A dash panel 7 side front face 60a and a housing 4 side rear face 60b of the metal plate 60 are covered by the connection part 64 and are embedded in the connection part 64.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
