Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a column to readily stand by itself without machining mortises and tenons by boring a mating hole and an anchor-bolt through hole of a base to the same diameter.
CONSTITUTION: A pin 1 is formed into a columnar shape having a driving portion 1a with a pointed end, made of a metal such as aluminum or stainless, or a hard synthetic resin. A mating hole 6 for the pin 1 is bored in a base 5, and a column 2 is positioned on the base 5 by fitting the projecting part 4 of the pin 1 into the mating hole 6. The mating hole 6 and an anchor-bolt through hole 9 used for securing the base 5 to a concrete foundation 7 by means of an anchor bolt 8 are bored to the same diameter.
