Abstract:
A combing machine is able to perform a working method which involves detaching a tuft (S') of web through a pair of detaching rollers (20a', 20b') in continuous rotation, transferring the tuft (S') to auxiliary rollers (20a, 20b), sending the tuft (S') through the auxiliary rollers (20a, 20b) to a main roller (30) having a peripheral speed lower than that of the auxiliary rollers, causing the tuft (S') to impact against the main roller (30) and make it pull thereby, detaching a further tuft (S''), sending said further tuft (S'') towards the main roller (30) so that a head section (Hs'') of the further tuft (S'') crosses a tail section (Ts') of the tuft (S'), forming a continuous combed web (W), making the combed web (W) emerge from an outlet passage (32; 112) and transferring the combed web (W) to a transfer device (40) so that, on the transfer device (40), the head section (Hs'') of the further tuft (S'') is crossed and placed under the tail section (Ts') of the tuft (S').
