PURPOSE: To increase the sharpness in cutting by allowing the intersecting angle of the rear surface of each edge of a stationary cutter member sliding with a moving cutter member with the center line of the bottom of a longitudinal groove to reduce gradually toward the tip, and thereby lessening the hair cutting resistance.

CONSTITUTION: Each cutting edge 3 forming the cutting part 5 of a stationary cutter member 2 is equipped with a slope 8 at the tip, and this slope 8 is provided with a longitudinal groove 9 having near a V-profile accomplished by cutting from the tip to the center into an inverted triangular pyramid or inverted semi-cone. The intersecting angle α of the center line 9' of the bottom of each longitudinal groove 9 with the rear surface 10 of the edge 3 sliding with the moving cutter member 1 shall range 40-80deg. on the edge 3 at the starting end of the cutting part 5 situated closest to a pivot 6, reducing gradually toward the tip to become as sharp as 10-40deg. at the foremost end. This constitution provides a cutting effect in which the shearing force is compensated one by one at the fore part where the sharpness in cutting dulls in conventional scissors.
