Title:
COMB SHAPED SUTURING NEEDLES FOR CUT-REMOVING LIVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP02063448
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable plural part ligations along a cut-removal prearranged line to be done simply and in a short time and also, to be available at an inexpensive cost by making the connection or the like of respective needle fitting metal plate portions by shaft-coupling through division at every needle fitting portion so that these needle fitting metal plate portions can be bended along the liver cut-removal prearranged line.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of long suturing needles 5 are fitted at equal intervals and in parallel at a metal plate 6 of a small width. This metal plate is divided at every needle, and connected with couplers 7 which rotate with a needle direction as an axis, so as to be able to be straightened or bended along a cut-removal prearranged line. An accurate diagnosis of the location and extension of a tumor 2 is done by means of an in-operation ultrasonic wave inspection, and the cut-off prearranged line 3 is determined. On the about 1cm center side from the cut-off prearranged line 3, comb shaped suturing needles 5 of this invention are thrust into a liver 1 in parallel with the prearranged line and penetrated. Suturing needles are pulled out and suturing threads 8, 9 are cut at some places, and suturing threads thus cut are tied as tight as possible. There is no bloodshed because blood vessels and biliary ducts 11 which are encountered at the time of cutting off, are double ligated.
