Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a combination pediatric vaccine that can reduce the frequency of immunization that an infant undergoes and shows enhanced immune responses by an infant to 4 kinds of individual vaccine components. CONSTITUTION: In the single immunization dose, are contained the diphtheria antigen in the pharmaceutically acceptable aqueous vehicle (preferably aluminum phosphate-adsorbed diphtheria toxoid), the tetanus antigen (preferably aluminum phosphate-adsorbed tetanus toxoid) and the pertussis antigen (preferably inactivated Bordetella pertussis cells) and a complex mixture of the fragment of the capsular polysaccharide antigen of Haemophilus influenzae b type and CRM197 protein and the resultant vaccine can enhance the antibody response by the infant to individual diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis and haemophilus influenzae vaccine components. This composition becomes homogeneous white suspension by shaking, the vaccine components are stable, compatible and cause no inhibitory action.
