Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller rocker arm capable of providing excellent low friction characteristics by the combination of sliding materials using DLC materials with specified lubricating oil compositions, the combination of low friction sliding cam followers capable of developing excellent fuel-saving effects by including the roller rocker arm, and the lubricating oil compositions used for the combination.
SOLUTION: A fixing pin 2 and an outer periphery roller 1 coated with the DLC materials, and, as the case may be, needles 3 interposed therebetween are assembled. As necessary, the outer peripheral surface of the outer periphery roller 1 and the needles 3 are also slid on the roller rocker arm to which the DLC coatings are applied under the presence of lubricating oil compositions containing specified ashless friction adjusting agents.
