Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the number of part items and cost of production by adding a judging part, sounding a sounding means installed in a combination meter on the basis of a signal out of a detection switch installed in each part of an automobile, to an operation and control part.
CONSTITUTION: Various driver circuits and a nonvolatile memory (NVM) are installed in an odometer module, aside from a central processing unit performing operation and control for various instruments. Each sensor detecting both revolution and speed signals, a tachometer, a speedometer, and a distance indicator are all installed in and around this odometer module. In addition, a buzzer, where such signals as a key, light or the like are entered as various switch signals for reminding, and being sounded in time of an alarm, is installed as well. The central processing unit operates revolution, speed and distance and fed to the driver circuits. Such control as judging a reminder content from various switches and sounding the buzzer is carried out, and further a delivery of data with the nonvolatile memory is carried out as well. Moreover the central processing unit judges the transfer of an odd-trip selector switch-cum-trip reset switch.
