Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the work for changing roll chock assemblies, to shorten changing time, to make the work safe and to surely prevent miss rolls and breakage of machinery.
SOLUTION: In a combination mill in which upper roll chock assemblies 12 having an upper horizontal roll 11, intermediate housing 14 having a pair of vertical rolls and lower roll chock assemblies 16 having a lower horizontal roll 15 are stacked up and fastened with plural prestressed rods 17, opening parts 28, 34, 44 into which the prestressed rods 17 are inserted in the horizontal direction are respectively provided on the upper roll chock assemblies 12, intermediate housing 14 and lower roll chock assemblies 16.
